More than 170 cooperatives in Tien Giang province operate in many fields

However, besides the advantages, the collective economic sector also faced many difficulties when many cooperatives lacked of offices, warehouses, pre-processing houses, etc...

Tien Giang has over 170 cooperatives operating in many fields such as agriculture, handicraft, trade in services, fisheries, transportation, etc....

At the conference, delegates raised difficulties and obstacles in the operation process focusing on issues such as: accessing to credit capital; finding the output for the product; lacking of facilities, etc... At the same time, the delegates also suggested the PPC to solve difficulties and help cooperatives to develop more and more effectively.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Chairman of the PPC Le Van Nghia requested the Tien Giang provincial Co-operative Alliance to continue coordinating to implement schemes and programs to support cooperatives; allocating funds to implement the support and preferential policies to develop cooperatives. Continuing to innovate and develop appropriate forms of production and business organization, striving for the goal of developing 150 agricultural cooperatives effectively to 2020, etc... to create the most favorable conditions for development of collective economic units.
