Tien Giang province's export reached 474 million USD in the first 2 months

ABO - According to the Tien Giang provincial People’s Committee, in the first 2 months of 2019, the province's export turnover reached 474 million USD, increasing 28.3% over the same period.

Many key export items of the province were seafood products, rice, etc… Especially, garments export reached nearly 14 million products (increased 8.5%), worth 95.9 million USD (increased 33%), accounting for 20.2% of the province's total export turnover and. The Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) which came into effect in January 2019, which helped Vietnam's textile and apparel industry expand its market share in some countries with high tariffs such as Canada, New Zealand and Australia, etc…

The import turnover of goods reached 74 million USD, accumulated in the first 2 months as 150.8 million USD, decreased 5% over the same period. In particular, manufacturing and processing industry reached 149.8 million USD (decreased 4%) and importing goods reached 1 million USD, decreasing 59.2% over the same period.
