Deploying a product program for each commune in the period of 2019-2020 (referred to as the Tien Giang OCOP program), Tien Giang province has selected 14 products in the food group, 2 products in drinks and 2 products in a typical group of local sales and rural tourism services to focus on standardization and development.

Specifically, Hoa Loc mango, My Tho green skin grapefruit, Cho Gao dragon fruit, Cai Lay fresh sausage, and Go Cong shrimp paste; soursop tea, cherry Go Cong wine and Thoi Son travel service, Dong Hoa Hiep ancient village.

According to Deputy Chairman of Tien Giang provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan, this is an important economic development program to promote production and increase income for the community, contributing to the successful completion of the new rural construction program in the area. Therefore, Tien Giang Provincial People's Committee requires sectors, agencies and units to prioritize the inclusion of the contents of the OCOP program in the key work programs for the period of 2019-2020 to actively implement the high results.

This 2019, the province has implemented synchronously solutions, mobilized resources in the area to concretize Decision No. 490 /QD-TTg. Thereby, contributing to the effective implementation of the group "Economics and production organization" in the national criteria for new rural construction, rural economic restructuring and improving people's income and life.
