Tien Giang province's export gets 642.8 million USD in first quarter of 2019

ABO - According to the Tien Giang provincial People’s Committee, in the first quarter of 2019, the province's export turnover reached 642 million USD, increasing 14.3% over the same period.

In particular, the foreign-invested economy reached 491.5 million USD, up 22.2% over the same period. The export value of goods mainly focused on manufacturing and processing industry reached 638 million USD, up 21.5% over the same period. In particular, seafood estimated at 68.1 million USD; rice estimated at 4.8 million USD; garment estimated at 122 million USD, up 23.8% over the same period, accounting for a high proportion (nearly 19% of the province's export turnover).

In addition, footwear products exported 102.6 million USD, up 1.0%; plastic products bags exported 96.8 million USD, up 11%; ordinary metals and products exported 117.8 million USD.

About the export markets: The Asian market accounted for the highest proportion of 40.6%; the America accounted for 38.5%; the Europe accounted for 17.2%; the Oceania accounted for 2.9% and the African market only accounted for 0.8% of the total export turnover of the province.
