Tourist to Tien Giang province increased nearly 5.8% in the first quarter

ABO - According to the Tien Giang province Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Tien Giang province welcomed more than 489.2 tourists in the first quarter 2019, increased 5.8% over the same period. In which, foreign tourists reached 162.7 thousand visitors, increased 5.5% over the same period.

The revenue from accommodation, catering and travel services reached 1,605 billionVND, up 9%, of which, accommodation and catering services accounted for 98.2%.

In the coming time, Tien Giang province Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will complete the plan for organizing the cultural-tourism festival of the 4th Dong Hoa Hiep ancient village 2019 in Cai Be district and the Truong Dinh national hero festival 2019; organizing training courses, training and developing local tourism human resources.

Besides, the province will participate in cultural fairs, exhibitions and events organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and other provinces and cities; at the same time, strengthening promotion activities on tourism; receiving the Farmtrip delegations to promote and introduce Tien Giang tourism products.
