Inspecting three communes to launch new rural areas by June

ABO – Chairman of the Tien Giang provincial People's Committee Le Van Huong and leaders of provincial departments, branches and localities inspected the advantages and disadvantages of three communes to launch new rural areas by June 2019, on May 15.

The commune has achieved 17/19 criteria, 2 unqualified criteria currently are traffic and cultural facilities.

The commune People's Committee proposed that the district urge construction units to speed up the construction progress in the commune, ensuring the completion time in June 2019; the district police strengthened forces to support patrols, ensuring good security and order situation in the commune.

In 19 criteria, the commune has some uncompleted targets such as environment, cultural facilities.

The commune People's Committee also proposed the electricity sector to consider and allocate funding for the commune to upgrade the medium and low voltage lines to serve the people's daily life and production; departments and districts prioritize investment support for the commune from capital sources integrated with national target programs in the province.

* At Long Chanh commune (Go Cong town):

Up to now, the commune has achieved 18/19 criteria. Particularly, the cultural facility criterion has reached 60% and will be completed as expected on June 20. The commune is expected to launch new rural commune by June 2019.

At the inspection, Chairman of the Tien Giang provincial People's Committee Le Van Huong recognized the efforts of the localities. He also asked the communes to re-adjust the environmental landscape, the unfinished criteria to try to accelerate the progress but must ensure quality; the police force had to patrol and control regularly; the communes met the standards, completing the procedures and arranging the launch date of new rural areas, etc...
