CPI of Tien Giang province in May rises 0.4%

ABO – According to the Tien Giang provincial People’s Committee, the consumer price index (CPI) in May increased by 0.4% in comparison with the same period.

Comparing to the previous month, 8/11 commodity groups had price index increases including transportation as the highest increase (4.94%); the culture, entertainment and tourism groups increased by 0.2%; garment, hats and footwear by 0.2%, etc…

The total retail sales and social consumer goods and services in May were estimated at 5,084.2 billion VND, up 8.99% over the same period. In the first five months of the year, the figure was 12,056.3 billion VND.

In May, Tien Giang province organized the shopping-promotion and food fair 2019 with the participation of 150 businesses with 270 booths. The fair was an exchange bridge for production and business enterprises in and outside the province to associate and expand trade and production and business cooperation to meet the increasing demand of the market.
