ABO – The Steering Committee for the ‘Vietnamese give priority to Vietnamese goods’ campaign of Tien Giang province held a conference on summarizing the ‘Vietnamese give priority to Vietnamese goods’ campaign in the period of 2009-2019, on June 7.

The event was attended by Standing Deputy Secretary of the Tien Giang provincial Party Committee, Head of the Tien Giang provincial National Assembly delegation Vo Van Binh.

After ten years of implementation, the campaign in the province has created a strong change in the awareness of the people, businesses and the whole community on the priority of using Vietnamese goods; strengthening national self-esteem, patriotism through purchasing Vietnamese goods; the tendency to use Vietnamese goods instead of foreign goods is increasing.

According to the Steering Committee, the implementation of the campaign brought positive effects for both consumers and businesses, creating jobs for workers, stabilizing and improving people's lives. The campaign created close relationships between producers and consumers; at the same time, making important contributions to stabilizing and developing macro economy, ensuring social security.

Addressing the event, Deputy Secretary of the Tien Giang provincial Party Committee emphasized six key tasks that the committees, authorities, Fatherland Front and mass organizations need to implement in the coming time to further promote the implementation of the campaign in the province. In particular, he emphasized the role of committees in thoroughly grasping the meaning and role of the campaign; the task of leading the implementation of the campaign is a regular task in the action plan of the Party Committee; the provincial departments, branches and People's Committees of districts, cities and towns continue to effectively implement the Government's project on developing the domestic market associated with the campaign, etc...

At the conference, the Tien Giang provincial Party Committee awarded 24 certificates of merit to the collectives and the Provincial Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee awarded 14 certificates of merit to individuals with outstanding achievements in the implementation of the campaign for the period of 2009 - 2019.
