Tien Giang's industrial production index increases 3.5% in May

ABO – According to the Tien Giang provincial People’s Committee, the index of industrial production (IIP) of the province in May gained the rate of 3.5%, compared with the last period.

The IIP in May increased by 3.5% over the same period, including: manufacturing and processing increased 3.6%; water supply, waste management and treatment gas, water, heating and air conditioning increased 2.4%; production and distribution of electricity, gas, hot water, steam and air conditioning rose 2.3%.

In the first five months, the IIP increased by 11.2% over the same period, including: manufacturing and processing increased 11.3%; water supply, waste management and treatment gas, water, heating and air conditioning increased 20.1%; production and distribution of electricity, gas, hot water, steam and air conditioning rose 5%.

The industrial production value in May is estimated at 9,941.4 billion VND, up 2.2% over the previous month; up to now, it has reached 43,677.8 billion VND, up 11.7% over the same period, reaching 37.3% compared to the year plan.
