At the same time, he agreed with the proposal to combine the situation of pig transport at the patrol and control stations of the waterway traffic police in the province.

Besides, he also requested the market management forces to support the management of slaughtering and trading of pork at slaughterhouses and in the market.

For the situation of dead pigs thrown indiscriminately into the river and the canal, it was necessary to discuss the treatment plan and salvage to avoid spreading the source of disease; at the same time, discussing the treatment plan when epidemic to occur.

According to the Tien Giang province Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the province now has about 35,000 pig raising households with over 560,000 heads, of which household farming accounts for more than 99%.

Currently, the province has 5 provincial level animal quarantine points at national and provincial roads and 1 district level animal quarantine point by Tan Phuoc district People's Committee.

At quarantine points, there have been no cases of carrying animal and animal products infected with infectious diseases including African swine cholera.
