Removing difficulties in capital for Trung Luong - My Thuan Expressway project

ABO – On August 7, the Tien Giang provincial People's Committee had a working session with central ministries and agencies, BOT Trung Luong - My Thuan Joint Stock Company, banks to remove difficulties in capital resources related to Trung Luong - My Thuan Expressway project. At the working session, the capital-financing banks gave many ideas about lending to BOT Trung Luong - My Thuan Joint Stock Company. Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Dao Minh Tu affirmed that this is an important and urgent project which the Prime Minister has directed very drastically. Tien Giang province is very responsible in the clearance work with a number of other works; the problems in lending are not great if there is agreement between investors and banks.

Deputy Governor of the State Bank confirmed that commercial banks do not lack capital. The State Bank is ready to support commercial banks to lend capital but it must be ensure compliance with the law. Therefore, banks must clarify this issue and the business must prove it to the bank. In the process of lending capital, enterprises must report to the State Bank for settlement if there is difficulties and problems; thus, contributing to ensuring the progress according to Prime Minister's direction.

Speaking at the working session, Chairman of the Tien Giang provincial People's Committee Le Van Huong said that with the responsibility of the competent state agency, Tien Giang province has made efforts, responsibilities and accompanied the enterprises to remove difficulties related to the project. Until now, Tien Giang province is still highly concentrated. Until August 7, there are currently only 37/3,292 households who have not received compensation and support for site clearance. For issues proposed by enterprises, under the jurisdiction of Tien Giang province, the province will be responsible for resolving and making every effort to ensure the progress of the project.

To date, the Tien Giang Provincial People's Committee has approved the project adjustment at Decision No. 2463QĐ-UBND dated August 2, 2019, which updated the most existing changes and remedies such as: Unit price materials according to local price announcements are appropriate; loan interest rate adjustment; adjust investor joint venture; adjust technical solutions to ensure quality and shorten construction time, etc...
