The Trung Luong - My Thuan expressway project:

Tien Giang province strives to implement the project to ensure the schedule and quality

ABO - According to the Tien Giang provincial People's Committee, on August 2, the province approved the adjustment of the research report of Trung Luong - My Thuan expressway project in phase 1 with the total adjusted investment as 12,668 billion VND, up 2,999 billion VND, on the basis of a report summarizing the appraisal results of the Tien Giang Department of Transport.

The reason of this increase is site clearance costs, material price fluctuations; supplementing overpasses, residential roads, intelligent traffic systems, green trees, anti-glare noise protection systems; adjusting An Thai Trung intersection to match the scale of My Thuan 2 bridge approved by the Ministry of Transport. In addition, it also adjusts the design solutions of soft soil treatment, adjusting the pavement structure to shorten the construction time to ensure the project completion schedule as directed by the Prime Minister at Notice No. 272 / TB-VPCP on August 2, 2019.

On August 7, Tien Giang Provincial People's Committee held a meeting including representatives of the Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Planning and Investment, State Bank of Vietnam, State Audit and banks provide credit to remove problems related to the credit contract of the project.

It is expected that from August 7 to 12, 2019, the Tien Giang provincial People's Committee will organize negotiations and sign the Appendix of BOT Contract No. 3 with Trung Luong - My Thuan BOT Joint Stock company; and conducting the inspection and supervision to implement the project to ensure progress, quality, efficiency, non-corruption, transparency and safety under the direction of the Prime Minister.

It is known that Tien Giang province has handed over 50.77/51.1 km of premises, reaching 99.34%; the remaining 330 m has not handed over the premises. The Provincial People's Committee is concentrating on directing localities to mobilize households to receive compensation, definitely resolving unsettled cases to hand over the ground to the project enterprise.
