Checking the communes to launch new rural areas as planned

ABO - On September 11, Chairman of the Tien Giang provincial People's Committee (PPC) Le Van Huong and functional agencies checked communes to launch new rural areas in October 2019 as planned.

* In Long Trung commune (Cai Lay district):

Up to now, the commune has been appraised by competent branches of the province to reach 16/19 criteria. Some incomplete criteria such as electricity, transportation, cultural facilities will be urgently completed in late September and October 2019. The commune is expected to launch new rural areas by the end of October 2019.

Comrade Le Van Huong asked the locality to renovate the campus as well as the headquarters of the commune People's Committee, asking the contractor to accelerate the basic construction works, contacting with the electricity to drastically implement the electric criteria....

* In Hoa Tinh commune (Cho Gao district):

This commune has been recognized by the province with 13 criteria, the 6 remaining criteria have sent documents to the province to wait for appraisal. The current difficult criteria are transport, electricity, and school will be completed in October 2019 and expected to launch new rural areas by the end of the month.

Speaking at the meeting, comrade Le Van Huong requested Cho Gao district as well as Hoa Tinh commune to speed up the progress of basic construction works, completing the criteria of electricity and re-adjusting the headquarters of the commune People’s Committee, etc. ..

* In Xuan Dong commune (Cho Gao district):

Xuan Dong commune has been assessed by functional departments of the province to reach 12 criteria, 5 criteria have been submitted, 2 criteria have not been sent to the province for appraisal. In the coming time, the commune will promote rural infrastructure, striving to maintain and improve the achieved criteria; improving the people's spiritual life, protecting the environment, and treating waste.

Comrade Le Van Huong highly appreciated the work of Xuan Dong commune political system because his commune was particularly difficult in the past. With high determination, the commune reached the new rural areas destination earlier than expected.
