Tien Giang province welcomes 1,334 thousand tourists in first eight months

ABO - According to the Tien Giang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the province welcomed more than 1,334 thousand tourists in first eight months of 2019, increased 6.1% over the same period, reaching 64.1% the plan. In which, foreign tourists reached 430.4 thousand visitors, increased 0.6% over the same period, reaching 51.2% the plan.

The revenue from accommodation, catering and travel services reached 8,485 billion VND, up 9.9%, of which, accommodation and catering services accounted for 98.2%.

In the coming time, Tien Giang province Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism continues to complete the plan for organizing the cultural-tourism festival of the 4th Dong Hoa Hiep ancient village 2019 in Cai Be district; to speed up the implementation of smart Wifi installation project, the Tourism portal.

In addition, the unit enhances the tourism promotion activities; to participate in tourism fairs, exhibitions and events organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and other provinces and cities; to welcome the Farmtrip delegations came to survey to promote and introduce Tien Giang tourism products.
