However, the current urbanization rate of the whole province was only 14%. Specifically, the center of the province reached 20.09%, the western region reached 7.69%, the eastern region reached about 13.98%.

According to the target of Resolution 10-NQ/TU of the Provincial Party Executive Committee on economic-urban development in three regions of Tien Giang province up to 2020 and orientations to 2030, the urbanization rate of the whole province is expected to reach 22%.

Also at the conference, leaders of districts, cities and towns reported the current situation as well as urban development orientations in the locality in the near future.

At the same time, the PPC is proposed to support the locality in calling for investment, capital, etc... to embellish and develop urban areas.
