Ten-month industrial production index rises 11.4 percent

ABO - The index of industrial production (IIP) for the first 10 months of this year increased by 11.4 percent from the same period last year, led by the manufacturing-processing sector.

According to the Tien Giang provincial People’s Committee, the manufacturing-processing sector recorded a growth of 11.3 percent.

Some industries with especially high growth rates included water supply, waste management and treatment gas, water, heating and air conditioning increased 20.1 percent; production and distribution of electricity, gas, hot water, steam and air conditioning rose 6.5 percent.

The industrial production value in October is estimated at 11,168 billion VND; up to now, it has reached 103,3 billion VND, up 13.7 percent over the same period, reaching 13.6 percent compared to the year plan.

In particular, non-state economic sector was estimated at 51,815 billion VND, up 13.6 percent over the same period; FDI sector was estimated at 50,486 billion VND, up 13.9 percent over the same period; the state economic sector was estimated at 1,091 billion VND, up 13.4 percent over the same period.
