Song Binh commune recognized as new rural area

ABO - The Tien Giang provincial Standing Steering Committee for National Targeted Program proclaimed Song Binh commune of Cho Gao district as new rural commune, on December 24.

This event saw an attendance of Deputy Secretary of Tien Giang Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Huong; Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Tien Giang Party Committee's Propaganda Department Chau Thi My Phuong; Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Thi Sang and departments, agencies, unions and numerous local people.

Comrade Le Van Huong and Nguyen Thi Sang present the certificates of recognition and the one billion VND welfare work to Song Binh commune.

After building new rural area, up to now, Song Binh commune has reached 19/19 new rural area criteria. Currently, the per capita income is currently over 45.9 million VND / year; the rate of poor households decreases to 2.33%; 6,957 people participated in health insurance (reaching 86.54%); 100% of households use clean water meeting the standards, etc…

Song Binh commune is the 18th commune of Cho Gao district recognized to meet new rural area standards; raising the percentage of communes meeting new rural area standards in the district to 100%.

Comrade Le Van Huong suggested the Party Committee and authority of Song Binh commune continue to lead and have specific solutions to perfect and improve the achieved criteria, especially for criteria and targets such as: production organization, income, health insurance, environment, food safety, etc...

At the same time, focusing on implementing well the integration of programs and projects to improve the quality of the criteria, to build Song Binh commune to meet the advanced new rural area standards.
