Concluding at the meeting, comrade Le Van Huong requested: Combating drought and salt with strong spirit; minimizing damages to the lowest level. The specialized branches build specific jobs, tasks for each person, each attached unit. Department of Agriculture and Rural Development cooperates with relevant departments and agencies in surveying and immediately handling recommendations of each locality for drought and salt fighting; working with Long An province on the plan of building saline prevention dams in Long An province to protect rice and fruit trees in the fields of the two provinces.
Regarding domestic water for people in the near future, he encouraged people to buy a fresh water storage tank or to distribute water for people to store water for their daily life. In addition, the province will immediately drill large wells to serve people when there is an urgent need, protecting water security in the Sau Au - Xoai Kinh economic system.
