Tourist to Tien Giang province increased 3.5 percent in November

ABO - According to the Tien Giang provincial People’s Committee, Tien Giang province welcomed more than 172 thousand tourists in November, increased 3.5 percent over the same period.

In eleven months of 2019, Tien Giang province welcomed 1.874 thousand tourists, reaching 88 percent of the plan, up 5.8 percent over the same period; in particular, foreign tourists reached 591,1 thousand visitors, increased 1,8 percent over the same period, reaching 70.4 percent of the plan.

The total revenue from accommodation, catering and travel services reached 11.681 billion VND, up 8,1 percent over the same period.

In the month, the tourism sector successfully held the 4th Dong Hoa Hiep Ancient Cultural Tourism Festival in 2019, with more than 16 activities, attracting over 30,000 visitors; completing the implementation plan of the Project "Restructuring the tourism industry to meet development requirements into a key economic sector in Tien Giang province".
