Chairman of the Tien Giang People's Committee checks the works to prevent salinity intrusion
ABO - On January 3, Chairman of the Tien Giang People's Committee Le Van Huong with the delegation of Department of Agriculture and Rural Development checked the works of salinity prevention and control in the province.

The delegation checked N8 sewer in Thanh Tri commune, Go Cong Tay district, Binh Phan pumping station, Cong Xuan Hoa pumping station in Cho Gao district and additional wells, supplying water in Dong Tam pumping station area and Binh Duc commune, Chau Thanh district.
The delegation also checked the proposed site to build the dam site belonging to Nguyen Tan Thanh canal in Chau Thanh district. This is a contingency plan when the salinity situation is severe. Tien Giang People's Committee will discuss with the Ministry of Transport on the construction of this work to protect more than 800,000 households and over 75,000 hectares production area in the region.
With positive solutions and preparations in renovating, it showed the high determination of Tien Giang People's Committee’s leader with the relevant units in the province in the prevention of salinity drought to ensure water resources for daily life and production of people in the province.
