In 2019, total retail sales of goods and services reaches 62,080 billion VND

ABO - In 2019, the total retail sales of goods and service revenue in Tien Giang province reached nearly 62,080 billion VND, reached 101.1 percent of the plan and up 9.7 percent over the same period, according to Tien Giang People's Committee.

The service sectors grew higher than the same period, reaching 6.97 percent; the service sector grew by 7.50 percent in comparison with 2018, accounting for 35.3 percent of the province's economic structure.
In 2019, the province's trade and services still maintain stable growth. Goods are abundant and varied in design and type, meeting the needs of consumption.

According to assessment, many production and business activities in the province continued to be stably maintained; the quantity of goods supplying for the market promptly met consumers' consumption needs, especially at the holiday seasons; in particular, focusing mainly on goods of domestic origin.

Many trade promotion activities have been focused by businesses, widely deploying in localities in the province and getting high effectiveness; contributing to promoting the development of production, business and consumption.

The Tien Giang People's Committee requested functional agencies, especially the Department of Industry and Trade to coordinate with local authorities and businesses to proactively monitor and forecast the supply - demand of goods, especially essential goods in management areas to have plans to ensure the supply - demand balance and stabilize the Tet market.
