Retail sales up 12 percent in January

ABO - Total revenue from retail trade and services reached 5,563 trillion VND in January, surging some 12 percent over December, according to Tien Giang People’s Committee.

In particular, the commerce sector reached 4.37 billion VND, up 11.6 percent; accommodation sector reached 10.5 billion VND, up 1.5 percent; eating and catering field reached 616.3 billion VND, up 19.1 percent; tourism and tourism field reached 9.8 billion VND, up 2.3 percent; service field reached 552.3 billion VND, up 8.4 percent in comparison with the same period.

The sectors recording a positive revenue increase include the trade, services, restaurant and catering services, etc…

Tien Giang People’s Committee issued the Plan No. 404/KH-UBND dated November 20, 2019 on the reserve and supply of essential goods for the Lunar New Year 2020, meeting the shopping needs of the people.
