Accordingly, comrade Le Van Nghia checked the point of installing 5 pumping boats on Vam Giong canal (section through Thanh Tri commune); locations of transfer pumping on canals 14 (section through Long Vinh commune); the level 2 pump point in Binh Phu commune.
According to Go Cong Tay district People's Committee, up to now, the locality has implemented 95 pumping points to serve agricultural production activities.
The installation of pumping boats on Vam Giong canal will provide water for about 3,000 ha of winter-spring rice in the district.
At the inspection, comrade Le Van Nghia acknowledged and appreciated the efforts of Go Cong Tay district in the drought and salinity prevention; deploying water conveying pumps to serve production.
He asked the locality to urgently install and put into operation the pumping boats to pump water to serve the winter-spring rice tea; at the same time, reviewing the difficult areas of the country of production to promptly report to the PPC.
The PPC will direct functional agencies to closely monitor salinity changes in order to promptly operate water at Xuan Hoa sewer for production.
In addition, when there is water in the canals, localities must mobilize people to pump water into the field to reserve, etc...
