Export turnover achieves 178.3 million USD in January

ABO - According to Tien Giang People’s Committee, in January, the total value of export turnover goods reached 178.3 million USD, reaching 5.2% of the plan, down by 30.6% compared to the same period. In particular, non-state economy was 42.4 million USD, down by 33.3%; foreign-invested economy was 134.8 million USD, down by 29.9% compared to the same period.

In which, the export of aquatic products was estimated to achieve 8,448 tons, down by 10.3% compared the same period. The export of rice estimated was estimated to achieve 6,896 tons, up 170.8% over the same period; in terms of value reached 3.1 million USD, up 135.9% over the same period due to the export of remaining contracts by the end of 2019. Garment was estimated to achieve 6,872 thousand of products, down by 8.6% compared the same period; in terms of export value reached 39.4 million USD, down by 36% compared the same period.

In addition to the main commodities, the export value of some items in January 2020 was quite good like fruit and vegetables exported 1.7 million USD, up by 11.5%; rattan products, bamboo, rush, export carpets were 1.8 million USD, up by 21.1%; fiber, textile fiber of USD 6.3 million, up by 17.9%; ordinary metal and products made USD 47.9 million, up by 19.1% over the same period, etc ...

The import turnover in January 2020 reached 126.9 million USD, reached 6.3% of the plan, up by 61.5% compared the same period. The main imported materials were cloth, textile, leather, shoes, metal, etc...
