Tien Giang greets more than 177,000 visitors on January

ABO - According to the Tien Giang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in January, Tien Giang-based tourist areas welcomed more than 177,000 visitors in January, a year-on-year increase of 8 percent, of which international tourists reached 57.8 thousand visitors, up 10 percent in comparison with the same period.

The revenue of accommodation, food, travel and other consumer services in the month got 1,189 billion VND, down 0.3 percent over the previous month and up 13.5 percent over the same period.

Tien Giang aims at prioritizing the development and construction of a system of tourism products, especially those with specific characteristics, capable of competing and meeting the needs of tourism market, especially for the international tourist market.

The province is currently focusing on exploiting and developing tourism products mainly in four main areas: My Tho city center, Cai Be district, Tan Phuoc district and Go Cong Dong district.
