Proposing to continue the loan program for clean water and rural environmental sanitation

According to the report, since the implementation of the loan program to solve rural clean water and environmental sanitation from 2005 to February 15, 2020, Tien Giang province has 167,822 times of households with loans with a total of nearly 1,200 billion VND
The number of clean water works is implemented as 103,054 works and the sanitary works as 118,981 works.
According to the assessment, the loan capital has met 85 percent of the households with demand for loans to renovate the clean water supply works and 26 percent of the households with the need to borrow capital to renovate hygienic latrines in rural areas.
Speaking at the working session, Vice Chairman of Tien Giang People’s Committee proposed that the Government continue to allow the implementation of loan packages. He also suggested the Provincial Social Policy Bank to coordinate with the agriculture sector to review actual needs and specific levels of loans if necessary so that they can be submitted to the central level soon for consideration.
