Vietnam has six billionaires on Forbes' list of richest people
ABO/NDO - The US magazine Forbes has announced its 2021 list of richest people in the world, in which Vietnam has six representatives.
They include Vingroup Chairman Pham Nhat Vuong, Vietjet Air CEO Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, Hoa Phat Chairman Tran Dinh Long, Techcombank Chairman Ho Hung Anh, Thaco Chairman Tran Ba Duong, and Masan Chairman Nguyen Dang Quang.

It is the year in which Vietnam has recorded the largest number of billionaires on the list.
Pham Nhat Vuong, chairman of the Vingroup conglomerate, is Vietnam’s richest person with an estimated net worth of US$7.3 billion and ranking number 344 on the global list.
Vietnam’s second richest person goes to the female CEO of Vietjet Air, Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, with a net worth of US$2.8 billion, followed by CEO Tran Dinh Long of steel company Hoa Phat with US$2.2 billion.
Tran Ba Duong, chairman of automobile manufacturer Thaco, and Ho Hung Anh, chairman of Techcombank, have the same net worth of US$1.6 billion.
Nguyen Dang Quang, the chairman of consumer products company Masan, currently has a net worth of US$1.2 billion.
Globally, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos remains the richest person with US$177 billion, followed by the CEO of Tesla Elon Musk with US$151 billion and Chairman and CEO of LVMH Bernard Arnault with US$150 billion.
