MPI supports exporters via e-commerce
ABO/NDO – The Enterprise Development Agency under the Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI) has collaborated with Amazon Global Selling Vietnam to launch a support programme named ‘Be Phong 90 Ngay Cung Amazon’ (90-day Amazon Launchpad) for businesses interested in exporting via e-commerce.
As part of the Go Digital Go Global support package - a specific and practical support activity within the framework of the Ministry of Planning and Investment's digital transformation support programme for the period 2021-2025 - the support programme aims to help small and medium enterprises bring their products to the international market, through the cross-border e-commerce platform Amazon.

Businesses participating in the programme will have the opportunity to gain knowledge and guidance on converting to business models on cross-border e-commerce platforms; and expanding export channels, including Amazon - which is one of the world’s major trading platforms.
Businesses will quickly master cross-border e-commerce skills in 90 days. At the same time, the enterprises will be supported in business planning, building Vietnamese brands on Amazon with a team of experienced experts, with 1-1 guidance from the Amazon Global Selling Vietnam team.
In addition, businesses will also have access to other support activities from the Go Digital - Go Global package of the program to support businesses in digital transformation for the 2021-2025 period.
Enterprises participating in the "’Be Phong 90 Ngay Cung Amazon’ support program need to meet a range of criteria such as: businesses producing or trading consumer goods, whose target export market is the US or Europe; and have staff or are committed to building staff focused on cross-border e-commerce.
Amazon estimates that there are over 1.9 million small and medium businesses doing business on Amazon's e-commerce sites, and the profits of third-party sellers on Amazon have reached US$25 billion.
The programme to support businesses in digital transformation in the 2021-2025 period is chaired by the MPI and coordinated by the US Agency for International Development (USAID).
By 2025, the programme aims to achieve the goals of: having 100% of businesses with increased awareness of digital transformation; at least 100,000 enterprises receiving technical support on digital transformation; at least 100 businesses being supported as typical successful digital transformation models to spread and replicate; and establishing a network of experts including at least 100 organisations and individuals to consult, provide solutions to promote digital transformation for businesses, and support the development of digital platforms.
