Ho Chi Minh City conference links FDI firms with local suppliers

ABO/NDO- A conference took place in Ho Chi Minh City on September 8 to facilitate foreign manufacturers to look for Vietnamese parts suppliers to carry out their localisation strategies.

Held annually by the Ho Chi Minh City Export Processing and Industrial Zones Authority (HEPZA) and the Saigon Hi-tech Park, this year’s event saw the participation of 20 FDI enterprises and 120 local suppliers.

The opening ceremony of the conference to connect foreign manufacturers and local parts suppliers.

With such a large scale, the conference is expected to further enhance the connection between foreign and Vietnamese enterprises, said Ho Chi Minh City Vice Chairman Vo Van Hoa.

He added that the conference will also help raise awareness about the role and impact of the supporting industries.

The official underlined that if local suppliers can meet the requirements of their partners, their products will be able to sell.
