Hanoi Great Souvenirs 2023 features 100 booths

ABO/NDO- The Hanoi Great Souvenirs 2023 was launched at Literature Lake (Ho Van) at Van Mieu-Quoc Tu Giam (Temple of Literature) in Hanoi on September 15, showcasing 100 booths of handicraft and souvenir products from Hanoi’s traditional craft villages.

The fair is displaying new handicraft products, as well as typical products in the areas of ceramics, lacquer, mother-of-pearl mosaics, embroidery, silk, bamboo and rattan, and wooden furniture in addition to Hanoi’s OCOP products.

The event is also a venue to boost trade connectivity, business opportunities and consumption of rural industrial products.

Hanoi has more than 1,350 craft villages with about 176,000 craft households, accounting for 45% of the total number of craft villages in the country.

These craft villages boast diverse products with various types, beautiful designs, good quality and competitiveness. The handicraft sector is playing an important role in the export and economic development of Hanoi.

The event, which will run until September 17, is part of activities to respond to the ongoing 9th Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians and celebrate the 69th anniversary of Hanoi’s Liberation Day.
