2025 Press Awards on energy saving and efficiency launched
ABO/NDO- A ceremony was held in Hanoi on March 11 to officially launch the 2025 Press Awards on energy saving and efficiency.
The event was held by the Ministry of Industry and Trade in collaboration with the Vietnam Journalists’ Association.
Vietnam is one of the fastest-growing economies within ASEAN, leading to increasing energy demand. This growth puts great pressure on the national energy system. Meanwhile, dependence on imported energy poses security risks, especially in the volatile global energy market.
Faced with this situation, the Vietnamese Government has been making great efforts to ensure energy security by enhancing energy efficiency. On March 13, 2019, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 280/QD-TTg, approving the National Programme on Energy Saving and Efficiency for the 2019-2030 period (VNEEP3 Programme). Under the programme, communication activities aimed at raising public awareness of energy saving and efficiency play an important role.
