Quang Binh promotes tourism and investment in the Czech Republic

ABO/NDO- On June 5, a delegation of the central coastal province of Quang Binh has participated in a seminar entitled “Connecting Vietnamese Localities with the Vietnamese Community in the Czech Republic” and held a working session with the Embassy of Viet Nam in the Czech Republic, said the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

This activity was part of a major tourism promotion and investment initiative in the Czech Republic, under the Programme for Promoting Vietnamese Localities in the Czech Republic and the Kingdom of Belgium. The programme was jointly organised by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Cultural Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Vietnamese embassies in the respective countries, and the People’s Committees of Quang Binh, Hue, Phu Yen, Bac Lieu, and Vinh Long.

At the seminar, Doan Ngoc Lam, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Quang Binh People’s Committee and Head of the Quang Binh delegation, presented the province’s potential and strengths, planning orientations for green development, priority sectors and projects for investment attraction, as well as the province’s preferential and support policies for investors.

The provincial leadership also called upon organisations, associations, and Vietnamese enterprises in Europe to cooperate, coordinate, and support Quang Binh in promoting investment, connecting with potential investors, and introducing and showcasing the province’s destinations, cultural values, and tourism products in the Czech Republic and other European countries. Notably, the delegation encouraged partnerships with major film studios and media houses to create original and captivating cinematic and television productions set in the “kingdom of caves” – Quang Binh and the central region of Viet Nam.

The delegation also held bilateral meetings with organisations attending the seminar to explore cooperation opportunities and agree on the content of a memorandum of understanding. This agreement will be signed between the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Union of Vietnamese Associations in Europe during the upcoming conference “Mobilising the Resources of the Vietnamese Community to Advance Viet Nam-EU Relations” in Brussels, Belgium, on June 7.

Earlier, the delegation and other Vietnamese localities had met and worked with the Vietnamese Embassy in the Czech Republic to discuss support and cooperation in promoting tourism, trade, and investment, as well as connecting strategic investors in the Czech Republic with Vietnamese provinces and cities.
