Vietnamese brand initiative set to expand globally

ABO/NDO- The ‘V-Brands Go Global with Amazon’ programme is a collaborative initiative between the Viet Nam Trade Promotion Agency (Vietrade) under the Ministry of Industry and Trade and Amazon Global Selling Viet Nam, aiming to empower 1,000 Vietnamese businesses and 30 national brands to enter the global market.

A conference titled “Export breakthrough: Vietnamese brands taking off globally” was co-organised by Vietrade and Amazon Global Selling Viet Nam in Ha Noi on July 23.

At the event, the two sides announced a three-year strategic partnership to implement the programme titled “Vietnamese brands growing globally” (‘V-Brands Go Global with Amazon’).

This important collaboration aims to achieve a shared goal of launching Vietnamese enterprises successfully into the global e-commerce market.

The programme is scheduled for implementation from 2025 to 2027, with two key objectives: to provide comprehensive training and online export certification for 1,000 Vietnamese businesses, and to support 30 national brands in enhancing their international presence through e-commerce with Amazon.

Vu Ba Phu, Vietrade Director General, stated: “Proactively diversifying trade promotion activities in the digital environment is no longer optional; it is essential for enhancing the competitiveness, adaptability, and sustainable development of Vietnamese enterprises in the international market. The ‘V-Brands Go Global with Amazon’ programme, announced and launched at today’s conference, is a strategic and practical initiative marking a new development milestone in the cooperation between Vietrade and Amazon Global Selling Viet Nam for the 2025–2027 period.”

Speaking at the event, Larry Hu, General Manager of Amazon Global Selling Southeast Asia, said: “This is a turning point for Viet Nam’s digital trade. Amazon Global Selling recognises that e-commerce exports are becoming a key driver in Viet Nam’s international trade strategy and brand development. Through our collaboration with Vietrade, we will support enterprises in emerging economic regions to innovate their products, digitalise operations, and reach global markets. Amazon is committed to equipping Vietnamese businesses with the tools and expertise needed to succeed in global e-commerce.”

Following the announcement of the strategic partnership, Vietrade and Amazon Global Selling Viet Nam will roll out a comprehensive programme to support Vietnamese businesses in expanding internationally. The programme will focus on providing knowledge and essential support to help Vietnamese manufacturers and enterprises build strong brands, thereby increasing export value.
