Festival of worship of the Mother Goddess in Hanoi

The festival of worship of the Mother Goddess will take place at both district and city level from October 15th to November 17th and from November 28th to 30th respectively.

The festival will draw the participation of practicioners from various temples, palaces and Chau Van singing clubs in the capital to worship the Mother Goddess. Performances in the festival will praise deities and heroes who made great contributions to the nation.

According to Nguyen Khac Loi, Vice-Director of Hanoi City Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and head of the festivals organizing board, the event will be an opportunity for practitioners of the worship of the Mother Goddess in Hanoi to have exchanges, improve their spiritual life and glorify national traditional culture, contributing to preserving and promoting cultural fine values of the worship of the Mother Goddess in the modern time.
