Vietnam claims six Asian aerobic gold medals
Vietnamese athletes clinched a total of six gold, two silver and one bronze medal at the recent 4th Aerobic Gymnastics Asian Championships in Gangwon, Republic of Korea (RoK), exceeding the medal target set prior to their departure for the competition.

The gold medals were won in the individual women, individual men, mixed pairs, trios and groups (five athletes).
The biennial event, which ran from November 17 to 22, saw competition from over 200 athletes representing 11 Asian countries and territories: Vietnam, RoK, Thailand, Japan, China, India, Sri Lanka, Australia, Mongolia, Hong Kong (China) and the Philippines.
The contestants battled for medals in three different age groups: seniors (+18), 12-14 and 15-17. Vietnam was represented by 11 athletes in the 12-14 and 15-17 categories.
Members of the Vietnamese team have now returned to their local aerobic teams in preparation for competition at the 7th National Games, scheduled on November 26-30 in the northern port city of Hai Phong.
