Vietnam drops two place in November FIFA ranking

Vietnam’s national men’s football team slipped two notches to 138th position in the latest FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking announced on November 28.

Vietnam remained second in Southeast Asia despite the drop, holding 202 points, 29 fewer than that of the regional leaders, Philippines (128th in the world).

Thailand made a huge impression, jumping 21 spots to 144th in the world and fourth in Southeast Asia with 182 points, below third placed Myanmar (140th in the world) with 202 points.

In Asia, Iran slipped five places to 56th in the world, losing the continent’s top spot to Japan, which was ranked 53rd after a one-place fall.

The world’s leading group saw little fluctuation as Germany, Argentina and Colombia maintained their top-three places with 1725, 1538 and 1450 points respectively.

The next FIFA world ranking will be released on December 18.
