Vietnamese films to be screened at RoK-ASEAN film week
Two Vietnamese films will be screened in the Republic of Korea (RoK) - ASEAN cinema weekend to be held in Indonesia from November 7-9 to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the RoK - ASEAN relations.
The two films include “Nhung nguoi viet huyen thoai” (The legend makers) by Director Bui Tuan Dung and “Banh mo” (Dreaming cake) by Director Nguyen Trong Khoa.
The “The legend makers” tells a story about Vietnamese soldiers, who sacrificed their lives to install petrol pipes across the Truong Son trail during the American resistance war. It won the Golden Lotus prize at the 18th Vietnam Film Festival in 2013.
The “Dreaming cake” was honoured with first place at the Toto film making class in 2014.
In the framework of the event, many movies from RoK, Thailand, Brunei, Malaysia, and the host Indonesia will also be shown on.
