Japanese referees do job at Vietnam - Malaysia AFF Cup semi-final second leg
The AFF Suzuki Cup 2014 organizing board has selected Japanese referees to do their job at the Vietnam - Malaysia AFF Cup semi-final second leg in Hanoi on December 11th.
Earlier, the Chinese referees who whistled the Vietnam - Malaysia AFF Cup semi-final first leg at the Shah Alam stadium on December 7th were blamed for unfair decisions by Vietnamese fans. So far, there has been no official announcement from both the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) and the AFF Suzuki Cup 2014 organizing board following the rumors.
Japanese referees for the upcoming game are Toma Masaaki (main), Otsuka Haruhiro (first assistant), Ochi Shinji (second assistant) and Kimura Hiroyuki (forth referee) while Mr Russamee Jindamai (from Thailand) is referee supervisor.
Mr Toma Masaaki, 41, is an experienced referee, had been whistled during a friendly match between the England and Mexico in 2010, and the Vietnam - Lebanon match in 2011 during the qualifying round of AFC Champions League at the Hanoi-based My Dinh national stadium.
In the V-League 2014 season, he did his job at the B.Binh Duong - Hanoi T&T match on June 17th. He also the received FIFA referee title in 2005.
The Vietnam - Malaysia AFF Cup semi-final second leg will take place at the My Dinh national stadium at 19h00.
