Long Khanh commune is proclaimed the new ruaral commune

Long Khanh commune has just been proclaimed the new ruaral commune by the Cai Lay town People’s Committee and The Provincial Standing Steering Committee for National Targeted Program to build new ruaral areas. Mr Tran Thanh Duc, Deputy Chairman of the Tien Giang People’s Committee attended.

Long Khanh commune is the second commune of Cai Lay town to meet 19 standards required for a new rural commune. After 4 years of implementing the National National Targeted Program to build new ruaral areas, Long Khanh has got many obvious achievements.

In implementing of helping to develop economic, the rate of poor household is reduced by 2.84 percent. The commune’s average per capita income as yet stood at VND 21.4 million. At the end of 2014, there is 3,179/3,408 household attended 3 standards of “Cultural Family”. Long Khanh has found 1 football team, 1 volleyball team and 1 “đờn ca tài tử” club, etc…
