The 7th National Sport Congress 2014 opens

On the evening of December 6, the opening ceremony of The 7th National Sport Congress 2014 took place at the Thien Truong Stadium in Nam Dinh city.

The Congress was held in 10 days, with more than 2,728 athletes from provinces, city as well as the Army unit and the Police unit, including the prominent athletes as Vu Thi Huong, Quach Thi Lan, Quach Van Lai (athletic), Nguyen Thi Anh Vien, Hoang Quy Phuoc, Tran Duy Khoi (swimming).

The Congress attracted more than 2,728 athletes to compete. As the host of the Congress, Nam Dinh province held the opening ceremony, closing ceremony and orgarnized matchs of 13 sports including Football (men), Athletics, Swimming, Diving, Volleyball, Vovinam, Martial Arts, PencakSilat , Wushu, Bodybuilding, Weightlifting and Boxing.
