Ha Thanh Tam wins final yellow jersey

The 17th National Men’s Cycling Tournament–Ben Tre Television Cup wrapped up on January 16 with the last stage stretching 130km through Can Tho, Vinh Long, My Tho and Ben Tre.

Tran Van Quyen of Military Zone 7 team won the stage, clocking a time of 3:07:29, followed by Nguyen Tan Hoai from Domesco Dong Thap 1 and Le Van Dong of VTV Can Tho.

After five days of competition, the six - stage tournament saw Ha Thanh Tam from An Giang Plant Protection team claim the final yellow jersey with a total time of 16:54:33, followed by Le Van Dong from VTV Can Tho with 16:54:35 and Tang Tri Hung from of ADC–Vinh Long Television with 16:54:37.

In addition to the yellow jersey, the organising board also awarded the white jersey to Tam as the best young rider in the 769km long tournament.

Quyen was the winner of the green jersey for the rider holding the most points, with 133 points, followed by Dong and Hung with 114 and 109 points, respectively.

On the final team results, Domesco Dong Thap 1 won the first prize with a total time of 50:44:39, while ADC–Vinh Long Television ranked second and Military Zone 7 team in third.

The tournament attracted 59 riders on 12 teams from across the country to compete for a total prize money of VND250 million.
