Tran Ngoc Lan Khue crowned Miss Ao Dai Vietnam 2014

Tran Ngoc Lan Khue from Ho Chi Minh City was crowned the first Miss Ao Dai Vietnam 2014 on the final night of the pageant, which concluded in Ho Chi Minh City on January 6.

The beauty, born in 1993, stands 1.76 meter tall, with a measurement of 84-60-88, defeated 11 other contestants to win the crown. With this title, Lan Khue will be selected to represent Vietnam at the Miss World 2015. She was also awarded VND100 million in cash and a crown worth VND1 billion.

Miss World 2011 Ivan Sarcos from Venezuela, came to Vietnam to present the crown to Lan Khue.

The first runner-up was Pham Hong Thuy Van who will represent Vietnam in competing at the Miss International 2015, and the second runner-up was Nguyen Thi Le Quyen who will compete at the Miss Supranational 2015.

After concluding the contest, Elite Vietnam will continue to train the three beauties for three coming international contests at the end of 2015.

VTV6 channel has been broadcasting the contest, in the form of a reality television show, since October 22. Eighteen final contestants entered the ‘Beauty Castle’ where they have stayed and taken training courses with leading Vietnamese and international experts. After nine live shows over the past two months, the pageant selected the top 12 finalists.
