Exhibition features General Giap's living and working at ATK

An exhibition entitled 'General Vo Nguyen Giap at ATK Viet Bac - Thai Nguyen' opened at the Dinh Hoa Safety Zone (ATK Dinh Hoa) in Thai Nguyen province on February 27.

The exhibition showcases 80 posters measured 0.8x1.2m detailing the period General Giap lived and worked at ATK Dinh Hoa and ATK Viet Bac. Each poster includes one or two photographs, autographs or historical documents of the great General with a majority of them regarding his life and career during the resistance against the French colonialists in the 1946-1954 period at Viet Bac revolutionary base.

The documents on display also depict the solidarity and assistance of the local ethnic minority groups to soldiers and General Giap during the years of the arduous resistance war.

The exhibition will also come to other mountainous communes of Dinh Hoa, Dai Tu, Phu Luong and Vo Nhai districts and Thai Nguyen city until March 1.

Dinh Hoa Safety Zone (ATK Dinh Hoa) in Thai Nguyen is known as the place where the nine-year struggle against the French colonialists began and where the Dien Bien Phu campaign was planned.
