Festivals of Vietnamese ethnic minority groups reinstated to welcome IPU-132 delegates

From March 27th to 29th, cultural activities reinstated several festivals of Vietnamese ethnic minority groups took place  at the Culture- Tourism Village of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups in Hanoi to welcome delegates to the 132nd Inter-Parliamentary Union Assembly (IPU-132).

The event aimed to give IPU-132 participants a chance to enjoy outstanding national cultural features, including spiritual rituals, traditional costumes and cuisine and unique folk games.

Speaking at the event, Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam National Assembly Tong Thi Phong hoped that representatives from the 54 ethnic groups, all beneficiaries of comprehensive national investment policy, would help the visitors gain a deeper understanding of Vietnam and its vibrant and united people.

It drew the participation of 500 people from 26 ethnic minority groups from 15 provinces and cities. For example, they are head of villages, intellectuals and artisans from H’Mong, Thai and La Ha from Son La province, Dao from Tuyen Quang province, Tay and Nung from Dak Lak province, Lo Lo, Pa Then and Pu Peo from Ha Giang province, Ha Nhi, Phu La and Giay from Lao Cai province.
