Amongst other countries in Southeast Asia, Vietnam slid down to third place after the Philippines, who currently stand at 124th position in the world and Thailand at 140th.

The advance of the Philippines to the top ranking team in Southeast Asia was thanks to their impressive performance at the 2018 World Cup qualifiers , defeating both Yemen and Bahrain.

Iran retains its first place in Asia, followed by Japan, the Republic of Korean and Australia.

FIFA’s top ten rankings saw considerable changes this month with Argentina surpassing 2014 World Cup champions Germany to take the top spot for the first time in seven years. Germany fell to No. 2, followed by Belgium, Colombia and the Netherlands.
