2015 Sao Mai singing contest concludes

Nguyen Bao Yen (Russia), Nguyen Thi Thu Hang (Hanoi), and Hoang Thi Hong Ngoc (Hanoi) were named the winners of the chamber music, folk music and pop music genres of the 2015 Sao Mai (Morning Star) singing contest.
 
At the final round held at FLC Samson resort complex in the central province of Thanh Hoa on August 15, music lovers enjoyed sweet ballads performed by 12 qualifying singers from regional contests throughout provinces from the north to the south of the country.
 
The ‘Favorite Singer’ award went to Le Thi Dung from Thai Nguyen province, whilst the ‘Most Promising Singer’ awards went to Bui Thi Cam Huyen, Hoang Thi Ai Linh and Le Hong Phi.
 
Held every two years by Vietnam Television, the Sao Mai National Television Singing Contest aims to discover young potential music stars.
