Hanoi Autumn Music Festival celebrates 70th anniversary of National Day
The Hanoi Fall Music Festival, featuring a wide variety of cultural and arts programmes, was held on August 23 in ten different public locations around the capital.

The festival kicked off with numerous performances of classical music and vibrant pop music in front of the Vincom shopping centre at 191 Ba Trieu Street and at Hanoi Railway Station at 118 Le Duan Street.
The festival continued with an arts programme at Indochina Plaza at 241 Xuan Thuy Street and at Cau Giay Park on Dich Vong Street, featuring many different kinds of music such as Pop, Rock and folk.
Traditional folk music lovers had a chance to enjoy unique performances at the Ly Thai To flower garden, with the participation of a number of famous artists including People’s Artist Thanh Hoai and Meritorious artists Thu Hang and Xuan Dieu, along with artists from the Cheo (Traditional Opera) Theatre.
Contemporary music programmes were organised at Thong Nhat Park and Van Ho Exhibition Centre, featuring popular young singers and dancers including Ha Anh Tuan, Luu Huong Giang and Oplus band.
Audiences were also delighted by special perfomances of students at Dong Xuan market and a show featuring jazz music in the evening.
The highlight of the festival was the large-scale concert at the August Revolution Square in front of the Opera House. Contemporary singers, including Uyen Linh, Bao Tram, Hoang Bach and Dinh Manh Ninh, took the stage with a variety of unique songs and dances at the event, attracting a large number of people from the city as well as foreign tourists.
On the same day, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Bac Ninh province held a festival themed ‘I love my fatherland’, drawing the participation of nearly 2,000 youth union members around the province.
Notably, 1,000 young people took to the stage with a range of songs and dances praising the Party, Uncle Ho and the country.
On the occasion, the province’s Youth Union received 1,500 national flags from the youth unions of the districts and its affiliates in order to present them to soldiers protecting the nation's sacred seas and islands.
