Entitled ‘Vietnam’s Hoang Sa and Truong Sa - Historical Evidence’, the exhibition showcases 120 maps published in Vietnam, China, and Western countries from the 16th century onwards, all of which affirm Vietnam’s sovereignty over Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos.

The maps and documents were written in both Vietnamese and English.

The exhibition aims to raise awareness among people, especially among the youth, of Vietnam’s authority over the two archipelagos, as well as the importance of protecting the national sea and island sovereignty and territorial integrity.

According to Vice Chairman of provincial People’s Committee Bui Nhat Quang, the exhibition is one of numerous activities designed to pay tribute to the previous generations for protecting sea and island sovereignty.

The exhibition, co-organised by the Ninh Thuan provincial People’s Committee and the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC), runs until August 11.
