Go Cong town receives the title of "urban civilization town" period 2013-2015

On September 22, Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee of Go Cong town held a ceremony to receive the title of “urban civilization town" period 2013-2015. 

 

Vice Chairman of the Permanent Office’s Central Steering Committee “All people unite to build cultural life” movement Vu Duc Hai, Head of Department of Central Propaganda Department Truong Minh Nhut, Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Khang, Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee Le Hong Quang and representatives of departments and agencies, provincial unions as well as staff and residents on the town attended.

After two years of implementing, Go Cong town met seven criteria of building the "urban civilization town”: Building clean and strong political system; developing economy; constructing civilized modernization urban town with green - clean – beautiful environment landscape; building cultural sport institutions; ensuring social security, improve and enhancing the life of people; building cultural life, healthy and enriched spirit, and building defense and strong security.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Khang appreciated the efforts of Go Cong town into implementing the scheme and suggested that the town should focus on implementing a number of key tasks in the next time:

 

First, continuing to promote the tradition of patriotism, diligence and creativity to overcome all difficulties to maintain and improve increasingly the quality of criteria of urban civilization, gradually improve the material life as well as the spirit of people.

 

Second, the executive committee and government of town to implement the Resolution of 12th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Resolution of 10th Party Congress of the Provincial Party Committee  by many programes, specific plan in accordance with local and actively build life and healthy cultural environment.

 

Third, enhancing the dissemination in various forms to promote the fine traditional values, build a prosperous and happy family, construct and exploit effectively the cultural institutions to match the preservation of cultural heritage.

 

Fourth, there is a plan to organize cultural activities - sports matching to implement the scheme of to establish the cultural-sport center in commune level, determine to build town as “urban civilization town" period 2016-2020 and to meet standard of the 3rd grade town.

 

Fifth, the departments and agencies to support the town to perform works of cultural institutions under investment allocation approved, etc...
