AFC U-19 qualifiers: Vietnam trounce Brunei 5-0 to earn table's top spot

Coach Hoang Anh Tuan and his players bagged three points with ease, scoring a 5-0 victory against U-19 Brunei in their Group G’s clash at Thuwunna Stadium in Myanmar’s Yangon on October 2, under the 2016 AFC U-19 Championship qualifiers.

It was a one-way match as right in the 2nd minute, from a cross by Lam Thuan, Minh Di gave his home side the 1-0 lead.

Vietnam then continued to score goals at the 24th, 33rd and 26th minutes, respectively thanks to Lam Thuan, Duy Khanh and Trong Hoa.
 
Before the end of the first half, Minh Di finished his double to make it 5-0 for Vietnam.
 
The game did not change much in the second half. U-19 sent in several other players in the field yet they could not add more goals.
 
The 5-0 win helped Vietnam temporarily lead the standings with six points, one point ahead Timor Leste, who tied 0-0 with hosts Myanmar in another match later the same day.
 
Vietnam will next play Timor Leste tomorrow before facing tough hosts Myanmar two days later.
